Jason Sur

Freshman Coach


Playing Experience:

Coach Sur graduated from Corona High in 1999 where he played 4 years of Varsity Baseball for the legendary Coach Wilkerson and Football. Coach Sur was a vital part of the 1998 CIF Championship Baseball Team where he batted .900 throughout the playoffs and started in Center field at Dodger Stadium in the Championship Game. Coach Sur was also Captain of the Football Team and Baseball Team during his Senior Year. Coach Sur was both an All League and All county Player in Baseball and Football. After High School Coach Sur ventured to Cal State Fullerton before transferring to Chaffey Community College, starting as a freshman and playing two seasons before calling it a playing career. 


Coaching Experience: 

Coach Sur will be entering into his 5th year as a High School Coach. This is his first year at Corona High. He has been a JV Head Coach for Kennedy High School in La Palma, CA, winning the league title in the Empire League. He has been a Varsity Assistant coach at Centennial High School in Corona, CA, winning the Mountain View League.  Coach Sur also coaches FA corona 10u and owns and operates Future All Stars Baseball Academy in Corona. Coach Sur has over 10 years of coaching experience. 


Personal Life:

He is married to his wife Austin of 13 years and together they have 2 children, Joshua, 10 years old, and Makayla, 8 years old. Joshua is currently the bat boy for the Varsity team. coach Sur has his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. Coach Sur also served in the United States Army for 8 years where he served as a Military Police Officer and Drill Sergeant. In the Military, Coach Sur was awarded the Army Accommodation and Achievement Medals for training over 1.200 soldiers and was recognized by the Command Sergeant Major of the army.
